Local parents start a scholarship fund for EMTs in honor of their son

Frankie Valente passed away in the line of duty while serving as an EMT. He dedicated his life to helping as many people as possible, and his parents decided to carry on with that dream. The Frankie Valente Scholarship Fund was created to rally donations and support for the emergency care students that offer so much of themselves to the community without asking for anything in return. The Fund began as a small effort and has quickly grown to reach Florida and New York. It is the dream of the founders, Tony and Joyce Valente, to see this Fund serve as an awareness platform and support system for emergency care students nationwide.
